Which fan is right for you?

Aluminium is the budget option. It’s durable and moves plenty of air (up to 10,200 m³/hr), though the powder coating can wear over time.

Timber is quiet with a warmer look. A good pick for bedrooms and light sleepers.

Plastic (ABS) is the newest style. Quiet like timber, it has the highest airflow of the three (up to 10,804 m³/hr) and handles humidity well. Want a fan for a deck or patio? Ask us about outdoor-rated models.

Common questions

Do your fans come with a warranty?
Yes. Every fan we supply and install comes with a 3-year warranty.

How much does a ceiling fan cost to run?
Very little. A 50W fan on full speed for 8 hours a day at around 35c/kWh costs about 14c a day, roughly $4 a month. Lower speeds cost less.

How much room does a ceiling fan need?
Australian Standards require at least 2.1m from the floor to the blades.

Why AC fans and not DC?
DC fans use a bit less power and run quieter on low, but they cost more up front and their electronic controllers are more sensitive to heat, humidity and power surges. Our AC fans are simpler and tougher, and run off a wall control, so there’s no remote to lose. The saving with DC is usually only $10 to $25 a year, so the extra cost takes years to pay back.

What do I need to know before installation?
We’ll check the ceiling can support the fan and whether there’s existing cable, or enough for a fan/light combo if we’re replacing a light. Some homes, especially pre-1980s builds, may need earthing added.
