Emergency and exit lighting testing for Brisbane’s northside and Moreton Bay
If the power goes out, emergency and exit lights are what get people out of the building safely. They have to be tested, logged and kept working. We test, repair and replace emergency and exit lighting for offices, shops, warehouses, aged care sites, unit complexes and community buildings across Brisbane’s northside and Moreton Bay.

What’s involved
- Six-monthly testing to AS/NZS 2293.2. Every emergency and exit light is tested on battery power for the full discharge time, and any that fail are recorded.
- Logbook and reporting. Results are written up in the site logbook and a report you can hand to your fire safety adviser, insurer or auditor.
- Repairs and replacements. Failed batteries, lamps and fittings replaced, usually on the same visit if we carry the part.
- Upgrades to LED fittings when old units are no longer worth repairing.
- New fittings where a fit-out or layout change leaves areas or exits uncovered.
Why it matters
Emergency lighting is one of the fire safety installations an occupier has to keep maintained. If a fitting fails on the night it’s needed, or the logbook shows testing hasn’t been done, that’s a problem for your people, your insurance and any inspection. A regular testing schedule takes the worry out of it: we book it, do it, fix what fails and send you the paperwork.
Working around your business
- Testing booked at times that suit you, including before or after trading hours
- Discharge testing planned so the building is never left without working emergency lighting overnight

Emergency lighting FAQs
How often do emergency lights need testing?
Every six months under AS/NZS 2293.2, with the results recorded in a logbook. We can set up a recurring schedule so it’s never missed.
What happens if a light fails the test?
We record it, tell you, and replace the battery, lamp or fitting. Most failures are fixed on the same visit.
Can you take over from our current contractor?
Yes. We’ll review your existing logbook and records, then pick up the schedule from the next test due.
Do you do the fire alarm system too?
No. Fire detection and alarm systems stay with your fire services contractor. We look after the emergency and exit lighting and the general electrical side.
