Why You Need an Electrician to Run Power to a Shed

All appliances require 230V AC to run efficiently.
You need properly installed power as extension cords are not appropriately sized to eliminate voltage drop.
There is a normal allowance of 6% (plus or minus) that is acceptable.
Anything above this is classed as overcurrent and anything below is undercurrent or voltage drop and both can be called dirty power.
Dirty power affects appliances in a negative way and can also cause damage.
Correct cable size and permanent power ensures the voltage stays within the 6% (plus or minus).
